myRAMS banking mobile app 2015
The challenge
RAMS bank has very few branch locations for customers to visit to conduct their day-to-day transactions therefore the ability to transact online is critical. The challenge was to design a mobile app for transactions that also allowed customers to see the balances of their other external bank accounts within the RAMS app.
What we did
Designing the mobile banking app
As the “little brother” of the Westpac group, RAMS was often used as a testing ground to validate new features before before inclusion in mainstream Westpac group websites and apps. This project looked specifically at the desirability of being able to see balances of a customer’s other accounts with non-RAMS banks. Through several rounds of testing we found that users liked this feature.
The banking app was designed to be visually bold and optimistic reflecting the brand personality of RAMS - often cheeky with a casual tone.
